Genesis 1st team
Whitwick colliery away 0-0
On a very hot first day of the season, genesis had a hard fought 0-0 away draw aginst Whitwick. Before the kickoff the team really got up for the game and talked about the importance of this season and how we needed to fight for each other and have belief. Thoughtout the game genesis played some attractive football but with no real end result, Ryan Patman had a good goal cancelled out for outside and Andrew Parker missed from 6 yards but that was really the only chances. Apart from one fine save by Wiggins in the sticks the defence held firm and a draw was about a fair result. The M.o.M award went to Nigel and he recieve a prize beginning with A, a piece of paper.
