Genesis 1st Team
Bagworth colliery 3-3
Another hot day saw the boys come away with a point. Genesis did not start to brightly and were 1-0 down after 5 minutes through a good 20 yard finish. The goal was the wake up call Genesis needed and for rest of the half dominated play inside the Bagworth half, unfortunatly this did not come to anything and totally against the run of play Bagworth scored right on half time to go in 2-0 up. At half time moral was still up as the boys had play well and went out knowing how important the first 10 mins were going to be. After 60 mins genesis had pulled one back through a mikey tyler penalty, Mikey had been brought down in the area after a run from the half way line. In amazement Bagworth went straight up the other end and scored what was proberbly the best freekick ever witnessed at Logde farm playing fields, 3-1. But genesis came back at them and totally dominating play scoring through a mikey tyler shot that got a slight deflection off a defender, they all count. With the last 15 mins to go genesis were causing the Bagworth defence all sorts of problems and when we got a free kick just inside the Bagworth half almost everyone went up for it, nigel wilman pumped it into the area and with a blink of and eye it went straight into the top right hand corner, get in 3-3. Although Genesis had lots of chances and many oportunities to of won the game (2yard header from Patman 88 mins) in all fairness 3-3 was about a fair result. John Proctor recieved the M.O.M award beginning with b from last weeks winner Nigel, a Broad Bean.
