Genesis FC 1 - 1 Woodhouse

We played with the strong wind (nothing to do with me) in the first half. We played some excellent football moving the ball quickly and creating chances. Papa had a couple of long range efforts which went just wide and after 15mins a scuffle in the box lead to their man handling the ball, he was sent off and we got a penalty. Thier Keeper made a great save and kept them in it. Later in the half a ball was flicked on and Jez  helped it on over the keeper to make it 1 - 0. We were unlucky not to have a greater lead. In the second half, playing into the wind, we lost our momentum. We still created some great chances, but kcouldn't finish them. Meadwell had to go off with cramp and a couple of minutes later as we re-organised, they managed to tuck the ball in the net. We carried on creating some good chances but still we couldn't score. Final result 1-1, very dissapointing, especially against 10 men. Jon Upfold got M.O.M.    

 

Genesis 2nds 1 - 2 Sutton Bonnington.

Pete Baines took one for the team, and went in goal. A good close battle but Sutton Bonnington came away winners.
