Genesis FC 9 - 3 Melton BS

Genesis went into this game very confident after last weeks win against Ingles and straight away that confidence showed as Genesis went 1 nil up within 30 seconds through patman (Ryan). Melton started slowly and some how got a very lucky goal 5mins into the game when Euan unfortunately could not hold onto the ball. Genesis responded immediately and were a goal up again through a lovely worked goal by Sam Baines. Genesis began to show their better footballing skill for the rest of the half but could not find the net and found themselves at 2-2 at half time through a headed Melton goal off a corner. After a good chat at half time all the boys went out fired up and ready for it and within the first 10mins of the second half were 4-2 up, the first from Micky Tyler with a nice headed goal at the front post on the counter and the second was a totally random goal gifted by their goal keeper who threw it into his own net from a pass back. Genesis continued their dominance and scored again through Sam Baines and a class free kick form John Upfold going straight in the bottom right. Melton came back at us and managed another lucky goal, but as Melton continued to press forward their defense was totally left open, genesis managed another 3 goals towards the end, one from in form Tyler and two coming from Andrew Parker, one headed off a corner and the other a class, flick and drive into the bottom left.
Overall an amazing all round performance and another shockwave sent out to the league that Genesis mean business.
Sam Baines capped a great left wing display with the M.O.M award and for his troubles got to wash the kit.
