Genesis were looking to increase theri goal difference against a weaker Sutton Bonington team. Genesis started well and went ahead after a goal from Chris Ford. Steve Straker added a second after heading in from a corner. Genesis exnded their lead after Chris Ford got his second. Sutton got one back and we were 3-1 at half time. Sutton came out in the second half and played some better football. Genesis got another after a great bit of skill fromChris Ford pulled the ball back for Patman to finish into the top corner. Gaff of the season came when the ball was passed back to Wiggings who went to clear the ball, but it hit a bole and went over his foot. The ball rolled in at about 1mph. Chris Ford was well deserved MoM.

Unfortunately this game will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. Markfield went 1-0 up Genesis had a chance to equalise from a penalty which as missed. Then Joe McSharry had a tussle with one of the defenders and as he got up the player started throwing punches at him. As Joe went to the floor a Markfield "fan" ran onto the pitch and Jumped on Joe with 2 feet. A disgusating inncedent that demanded tougher action from the ref. Joe showed his quality by not retalliating and went on to score. Markfield scored another to take the points. MoM was shared by Jason Staples and Matt Reed.
