Genesis 3 - 1 Ingles
Genesis 1st's final game of the season and potential 3rd place at stake, so in good Genesis style there was a bare 11, no manager and keys to Lodge farm. but there was the spirt and desire encouraged and produced from the leadership of the stand in Manager Steve Meadwell (100%record this season) that spured on the troops and produced the needed win and three points.
The game started slowly and at half time the teams went in level at 0-0. a half time team talk encouraging the stepping up of gears and communication produced a poor first 10min and Genesis were one nil down from a poorly defended corner. This was the much needed push Genesis needed and from the kick off Genesis attacked and got a corner which Joe Mcsharry rose and headed in nicely. From then on Genesis were in the zone and further goals from Patman and Cook ended the game for Ingles. Both goals coming from good work down the left from Radcliffe and both nicely finished by little and large.
The game was ended with a great penalty save from Powell which should of never been given in the first place and the call of JUSTICE was heard after the save and righly so ;)
MOM was close, Joe Mcsharry had a great game but Powell got the final vote due to a fine display between the sticks.
