Genesis FC 4 - 3 Caterpillar

Playing on a 5-a-side pitch wasn't what we're were looking to. Caterpillar started well and with in 20mins were 2-0 down. We got going and Tyler caught the keeper sleepeing and struck in fro 25yards Half time 2-1. Some of the Genesis players came out raring to go after hearing that Liverpool had beaten Man Utd 2-1. It was just what we needed. We played some great football and Tyler scored a second. Meadwell then went up for a long throw in and after a couple of goes put the ball across the 6yd. box, Chris was on hand to finish. Alex Cuthbert then stuck home from 30yards with a contender for goal of the season. A first time strike that flew into the top corner. Caterpillar came back with a goal with 5 to go which made a close finish although it felt we had really got on top of them. We held out and got a well earned 3 points. Genesis go top of the league. MoM Matt Kerry with a great game. Great debut performance from Ian in centre mid. First 90mins for a few years.

Genesis went 2-0 up but Caterpillar came back. Goals from Ross Patman, Matt Reed and Pete Carlill. MoM went to Pete Daniels.
