Genesis FC 2 - 4 County Hall

Debut appearances from several new players, Bartek, Jason Staples, Sean Beale, Paul Humphreys and Matt Strickland. Genesis started well and had some good possession but County Hall scored against the run of play. Genesis continued to put to good phases of football together. We got back in it thanks to a cross from Bartek and a finish from Andy Parker. County Hall continued to put us under pressure and created many chances but we keep them out. We then scored again from a header from Parker again to go 2-1 ahead. At half time we made some changes with Nige going in goal taking over from Pete Baines. Alex Cuthbert went off struggling with injury and Bartek went off. Not long into the 2nd half Chris ford took a knock and went off for 20 mins. The game opened up with County Hall having more chances. Genesis lacked some fitness and County Hall got back into it with a penalty and and 2 other decent goals.

 

A good performance for the first friendly of the season. With quite a few new players, it was always going to be a challenge. MoM went to Andy Parker who scored 2 and played very well.
