Res Friendly 25th Sep. 09
Published: 25.08.2009

Genesis Res 1 - 0 County Hall Res.
It was the first friendly for the Res and with some new faces it was going to be intersting to see how things settled down. Genesis did settle down well and played some good football. Genesis created some good chances and a ball from Sean Beale put Steve Straker into the box who went round his man and finished into the bottom corner. This was a special moment for Steve as it was his first goal in a competitive match in three years.
The seond half was a close battle with county Hall hitting the post, but the Genesis defense and Dan Appa in goal kept a clean sheet.
MoM went to Sean Beale
