Genesis 2 - 2 Shepshed Am.
A funny game where we had some good patches but probably weren't consistent enough. Brian Wakely made an appearance in goal with Wiggins away. Not a bad start from Genesis. We eventually got a goal from a ball from Alex that Sean managed to get on the end of. Shepshed came back and took the lead after 2 weak goals. There was a feeling that we were the stronger team, but we were struggling to make it count. Chris Ford looked dangerous and we got the goal back after a through ball from Matt Strickland and cool finish from Ford. With 15 mins left there was a feeling that we could sneak it, but it wasn't to be. A frustrating performance, but still unbeaten this season! MoM went to Steve Meadwell who was a giant at the back.

Genesis Res 7 - 0 Shepshed Am Res
Another really encouraging performance from Genesis. We started brightly and a great bit of skill by nige saw him brought down in the box. Carlill banged home the penalty. Shepshed had a few good chances and hit the post a few minutes later. However a goal mouth scramble led to andy curran firing home. We relaxed and played some really good stuff. Nige was causing loads of problems for them. His ball saw andy curran make it 3 with a left foot scorcher. We started the second half slowly and they had a few chances. However we soon got back on top. Nige fired in a cracker and James got his first of the season. Matt reed kept up his goal a game ratio after the keeper spilled a freekick. A few minutes before the end , nige laid it on a plate for andy to get his hatrick, his first ever for genesis. A really good win. Special mention to vinny who started his genesis career with a clean sheet
